The Influence of Society on Fashion in the Conformist' Eras (Victorian Age to the Sixties)

Fashion is always influenced by how we see and define femininity and masculinity. From the Victorian age to the Sixties, one woman' and man' body is characterized by society. We live in societies in which we learn from the very beginning how to express our femininity or masculinity. Finally, fashion innovates throughout time because of those who are willing to bring and impose a change. In this article, we will learn how historical events defined and modified styles, patterns and designs from the Victorian era to the Sixties. Specifically, I will go through the Victorian, 20s,30s,40s,50s and 60s which I called the conformist eras.

Before stating anything in particular about fashion itself, let me start by defining how the body was illustrated in the Victorian era from England. As Mary Blanchard stated,

Can We Auto Correct Humanity?

This is a great video which explains well how technology takes over our life. However, I believe that no one is forcing us to be 24/7 on Facebook, Instagram or simply on internet. Only us can control our use of internet and social media.

Can we Auto Correct Humanity? We can start Auto Correcting ourselves first? Maybe? We must balance technology in our life. There are positive aspects of it as well, for instance, we now have quick access to information.

We need to learn how to enjoy our actual moments and behave well. We must not forget the good manners we have learnt and start being a well behaved generation. For example, using your phone during a conversation is rude! Checking your messages, texts and other, while eating with your family, fellows and friends is simply RUDE!

A MUST WATCH MOVIE- GONE GIRL

BEN AFFLECK AND TYLER PERRY TOGETHER- WHAT ELSE CAN WE ASK FOR!

The story begins as a mystery about a man whose wife has gone missing and the suspicions pointing to him soon after. It examines dishonesty, the media, the economy's effects on marriage, and the way people perceive one another.
The film had its world premiere on opening night of the 52nd New York Film Festival on September 26, 2014 (Wikipedia)

Keep Calm and Know What you Want

 WHAT DO YOU WANT?

DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A GREY AREA OR A BLACK AND WHITE WORLD?

Keep calm, know what you want and make your life easier. We all make that same mistake by saying 'yes, no, but maybe let me see how it goes'. This is what's called the grey area

We, women have a particular image we would like to prove; that amazing image of a "Good Woman". Ladies! Sex on a first date does not make you a "bad woman", waiting 90 days does not make you a wife, having a title does not make it real. It is about TIME and WHAT YOU WANT

Confidence is the key to succes. Know what you want and get it!

Our 21st Century Gentlemen! who want to prove as well that image of a "Good Man" by applying the "Good Man' standards". Oh Yes we know, again, having a title does not make it real!

I would like to share this wonderful article found, CLICK HERE (Credits +Maria Cagianos )

Polygamy vs Monogamy

Definition of Marriage
Monogamy and polygamy are the two types of marriages in which the norms differ in each society. Marriage is defined as the union of two people, whether of the same sex or of opposite sexes, who commit to romantically loving and caring for each other and to sharing the burdens and benefits of domestic life.
In monogamous society, “the freedom to marry the person one loves is a fundamental right” (Girgis et al, 2011, p-246).
In polygamous society it is harder to define and there are other factors that get involved; a good definition of polygamy would be:  “[the union of one man with several women or one woman with several men] that is motivated by the urge for social prestige and economic ambitions” (Nwoye 2007).

Does polygamy avoid several stresses such as jealousy, infidelity and finding the true love, what we call, the “one” in our monogamous society?

The Influence of Advertisements on the Body in the Industry of Sports Between Blacks/Whites and Females/Males

Culture can be distinctively defined based on gender and race within different groups

Those differences are socially meaningful expression that is audible, visible, or tangible or that can be articulated. Our use of body is shaped by culture. The sport's industry shows a particular influence on our body according to gender and race. In the twentieth century, the changes within the body's socialization determine a matter of education, which is mostly taught through advertisements. Therefore, the more materials we have, the more we are able to educate. Our society has involved the body structure and its socialization as well. It is known that advertisements teach us
